As a new member on the site you want to read first what already has been posted and at a certain moment you want to make a post yourself
In this topic I will give you some guidelines Smile

Lets asume you want to post a reply in Daily news , in the topic "Morning or Night Owl? "
- click on Daily News , than click on "Morning or Night Owl?"its on the left of the screen
- now you can see all the replies of the people who were here before you
- to reply you see on top :
Morning or Night Owl?

Mes amies Forum Index » Daily Life
New topic Post reply

-click on: post reply
- you see a square field in wich you can write down what your opinion is and what you want to share with the other members
- on the left there are emoticons/smilies, they are there to make posts more fun to see, feel free to use them Smile
- once you have finished your reply scroll down a little, where you see "Preview" and "Submit", to post your reply you click on "Submit"
- you have to wait a few seconds and then you will see your post is done, ready for other members to read
- you can post as many replies as you wish as long as you don't post 2 or more in a row. This is not allowed and called "spam"
-if you feel you have forgotten to say something in your post you see in top right corner a small box which says "edit ", click on that and your post appears ready to be editted by you

As a new member, i can understand that you can encounter some weird things, like maybe strange shortened words, like "u" (meaning "you") or "lol" (meaning: "laughing out loud"), feel free to ask what other members mean when they use those terms

On the bottom left of each reply made by members there are some boxes, in 1 it says: "pm", that means: private message, if you click on that it will bring you to a screen in which you can send a private message to the person who's "pm" button you have clicked, feel free to use that whenever you want to ask something

i hope all this will make posting easier and more pleasant for you
goodluck and have fun!

Also, when making a reply.

On the lower left, beneath the Emoticons, is an Options panel

One of these options says

If you click

Register or Login on forum!

a new window will open with an explanation of common codes used in posting

If unsure, just use text for now and ask questions Very Happy

Hi - Sorry I bump in on your forum like this, I just have an emergency question! Me and a friend started a forumup too (coolpeople.forumup.co.uk) and we have several Guests just screwing it up by making hiddeous comments and place horrible pics! Can you please help us on how to block these guests, or how we can install that only members can post? We'd really appreciate it! x x Anne from Amsterdam

lol , i hardly did nothing
i forgot to say: if things stay that way and those creeps keep posting filth then its possible to ban their IP
but thats 1 of the last things to do cause sites need members , not ban them although any site can do without such members
good luck Smile
